伪恋两季度原盘画质相似,都有严重的锯齿和色带问题。
第一季原盘原生分辨率为 719.8p,线条充满了各式各样的锯齿,包括但不限于 3D 渲染锯齿、拉伸导致的锯齿、润线不到位导致的锯齿。更要命的是,大概是制作公司为了节省成本,在不少的人物远景镜头处,不是通过重新作画而是通过缩放已有素材来实现,这导致了非常严重的锯齿。我们使用逆向拉伸重构,并配合后续的强力抗锯齿和轻度去晕轮来处理。这样消除了锯齿并提高了画面清晰度。原盘的平面质量也非常糟糕,几乎所有平面处都有明显的大范围色带。我们采用了较强的去色带手段,并配合保护措施。
第二季的线条继承了第一季的锯齿问题,原生分辨率为 719.8p 和 720.0p 的混合,并且两种分辨率使用的拉伸算法不同。我们使用自适应逆向拉伸重构,对每帧画面选取误差最小的分辨率和算法。第二季的平面质量有一些改善,制作商有意增加了噪点和抖动来对抗色带,然而由于编码质量较为糟糕,最后的结果也没比第一季好太多,大部分平面上存在压碎的噪点和色块,不少场景仍然有大范围的色带。我们仍然沿用了第一季的处理手段,并强化了降噪的强度,尽量去除那些压碎的烂噪。最后进行常规的补偿性纹理锐化和亮度自适应降噪。
The image quality of both seasons of "NISEKOI" is similar, with severe aliasing and banding issues.
As for the first season, the native resolution is 719.8p. The lines have various types of aliasing issues, including but not limited to 3D rendering aliasing, upscaling-caused aliasing, and aliasing due to inadequate line smoothing. What's even worse, in many wide shots of characters, the aliasing is extremely severe. The reason is that, the production company scaled existing materials instead of redrawing the scenes, presumably to cut costs. To address this problem, we employed descaling and reconstruction, followed by strong anti-aliasing and mild de-haloing. This eliminated the aliasing and improved the image sharpness. The quality of the flat areas is also very poor, with noticeable wide-range bandings in almost all flat areas. We applied strong de-banding with protective measures to solve that.
As for the second season, the aliasing issues are no better than the first season. The native resolution consists of 719.8p and 720.0p, and the upscale algorithms are different. We employed adaptive descaling and reconstruction, selecting the resolution and algorithm with the minimum error for each frame. The quality of the flat areas in the second season has improved somewhat, as the production company intentionally added noise and dithering in response to banding. However, due to the poor encoding quality, the result shows little improvement compared to the first season. There are still DCT noise and blockings in most flat areas, and wide-range bandings in numerous scenes. We continued with the processing approach employed in the first season and intensified the denoising to remove as much DCT noise as possible. Finally, we applied conventional compensatory texture sharpening and luma-adaptive denoising.
